Because it's a paradox

It is too important to appreciate silence in a world that never stops talking!

How is a human being so messed up overall?
We hurt people around us all the time, and continue to live in our bubble pointing fingers at whoever possible because we're the fastest at criticising.
You think you know people, but you don't really
Even the closest ones in your life, the degree of variation in your opinion and theirs on certain subjects will leave you nonplussed.

What goes around, comes around.
And that is the ultimate truth.

"You don't remember what happened. What you remember becomes what happened."

The hypocrisy and chauvinism in the culture is in every part of this awesome society we live in
People are shops of brands
Their lives start and end with money
Money: the problem causing problems, always.

"Not everyone will understand your journey. That's fine. It's not their journey to make sense of. It's yours."

When it isn't about finding inspiration, or making a decision,
it's about making a choice...
There's a difference.

When you know that a person is going to react in a certain way and he/she isn't going to entertain your perception, it's only going to make matters worse, then you might as well control your tongue! Why repeat the mistake?
[No, in no way am I attempting to convey that one shouldn't stand up for what one believes in, of course one must. What I've mentioned above is only trying to convey the fact that there is always more than one way to handle a situation, an alternative way, and we must remember that, at least sometimes..]

Because silence and time can both make situations better when you think nothing else can :)

Be thankful.
It makes you a more positive person overall without a doubt.
It doesn't have to be about praying to one God specifically, or praying in general..
Nothing of that sort. But be thankful. It's true that when we appreciate what we can do with everything that we're blessed with and what we have, we don't take it all for granted as much then.
Shukraguzaar is the term I prefer actually. Bohot zaroori hai shukraguzaar hona. Har us cheez ke liye jo humare parents ne, higher power/universe ne humein di hai :)

"People think you're crazy if you talk about things they don't understand."
- Elvis Presley

If you're meant to get something in a certain way and of a certain amount, you will get it irrespective of where you are and who you're with, because things beyond your control have always worked a certain way and they always will. The universe has its timing, and telepathy between people makes your faith grow in general when you just want to believe :)

"The mystery of life isn't a problem to solve, but a reality to experience."

Why on earth are the narrow-minded human beings full of confidence?
Did anyone ask for your opinion? No, it wasn't asked for, keep it to yourself please?
I absolutely cannot stand humans making judgments, passing opinions and imposing their beliefs on all the possible people around them, unnecessarily.
What the hell is wrong with our species, seriously?
Humanity comes last in their thick heads!?

"Pray for the world that blames a refugee crisis for a terrorist attack.
Pray for the world where people walking across countries for months, their only belongings upon their backs, are told they have no place to go.
Pray for the world that does not have a prayer for those who no longer have a home to defend.
For a world that is falling apart in all corners,
and not simply in the towers and cafes we find so familiar."
- Karuna Ezara Parikh

Workaholics: people who take a few seconds to recollect what they had in their last meal!

How do you know what to do when you're being told that you're on the wrong path but your gut says the opposite?
You go with your gut!?
Head vs heart: You listen to your heart, and led the head be this time.
At least you'll find out what your heart wants to know.

Assumptions are the termites killing relationships: since 1990.

"The same boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg. It's about what you're made of, not the circumstances."

Can we or can we not change our own destiny?
One of the most debatable and intriguing questions still
Of course different perceptions developed from past experiences would say different things, and different theories would set some as norms
But how does one really break it down?

The world only makes you want to run away
But ensuring that the right people in your life are guiding you towards the right path, is essential.

The beliefs one has, one's outlook to life, the upbringing, and schooling of an individual
can tell so much.

Imparting knowledge and aiming to gain something from another is one thing
Feeling superior is another

When a child is pampered for the wrong reasons, he/she is well aware of the fact that from that moment onwards, he/she can take as much advantage as he/she wants of that.
I'm absolutely amazed as to how a parent(s) stays ignorant towards the impact that that has on their relationship with their other child, and then, it's a human tendency that when an individual doesn't find love at home, he/she will look for it outside, always. The importance of good parenting has been overlooked by so many so often.

"Good habits formed at youth make all the difference."

A: You don't have to do that
B: I know..
A: You can't do everything
B: I know, but I can try :)

When the people around you fail to see the purpose of it all
You're not going to take all that money with you
Having a heart and giving, not only takes conscious effort, but humanity.

"When you have more than you need, build a longer table not a higher fence."

Everyone has a 'figuring out' phase in their lives
What's most important when you're in it, is not how fast/at what speed you figure where is it that you're heading, or what is it that you want to do/give to the world
But the people who guide you during this phase, the ones who share their opinions, opinions that you seriously consider... That's what matters. Because if they aren't matching with how you always wanted to work things out in life for yourself, your head and heart won't be at sync with the whole chapter at the end of it.

"Never make fun of someone who speaks broken English. It means they know another language."

Because no matter how much you know about yourself and your choices, your likes/dislikes, people you love, you will keep getting enlightened. It's another thing to think and believe that you know yourself and your partner well, but what you're forgetting is, it's an ongoing process. You're discovering more about yourself with each passing day; your capabilities, fears, your desires.
Things are changing, and so are we.

When something manages to shake your faith for the first time in life.

You can, if you think you can!

In a conversation with an engineer;
There are raw thoughts, filtered thoughts, unfiltered thoughts, conscious thoughts, subconscious thoughts.. and probably more kinds that I will keep for another post
Irony is, the topic could've been endless
But this crazy person's point of view revolved around thoughts being made of particles and atoms/molecules, etcetera
But of course I never meant to talk about the structure, and that's when you realise that you mustn't go further as you're the one from a non-science background in the conversation. #Blah

The unexpected.

"You cannot protect yourself from sadness without protecting yourself from happiness."

Words are the most powerful things ever..
They can lift you up
or tear you apart
They can take off that weight on your shoulders
or put some extra bit on them
They can work like magic
or a disaster
They can make you want to know a human better
or can destroy the idea of ever wanting that
They can work like an ointment for old wounds caused by inhumane people who will pay for their karma
or they can make it worse if you've chosen to stoop down to that level of inhumanity
Words...
If used in the most appropriate order/sequence, manner, tone, and at an appropriate time,
They can do wonders.
They're underestimated because most of us haven't met the people who use them right, often, yet.

There is a difference between great love and right love.
"You think you shouldn't want it because you've never had it, and it scares you."

It all sums down to something
Life
The small incidents
The big instances
The coincidences
The strange and surreal moments
The tiny parts that involve how one's Sunday was
It's for YOU to make sense out of what you want to make sense and what you don't want to make sense out of
It is a choice even when we don't make a choice!
It will always be about the power of the human mind. Yes, I have mentioned that here before. But reminders are healthy when used for the right purpose :)

"Sometimes it is the people who no one imagines anything of who do the things that no one can imagine."
If only truer words had been spoken!
#TheImitationGame #Brilliance #TheExtraordinaryMinds

When something unreal happens in one's life
When one finds another, who's like a mirror
Who can not just read your thoughts, but actually makes the effort to, and wants to
Yes, I would sum it up in one word for now
And that's Serendipity
But, that doesn't cover enough, because there's more, yes, there is

Being naive is not the bad thing,
But being naive in a society full of people who are not, that's what's harmful!

It's always important to ensure to look for the good in people
But being fooled by those who are always sure of what they say and draw conclusions fast,
that's the sad part
Since you don't get anything by "proving" anyone wrong

"Caring people help others not because they expect a reward, but because it is natural to show kindness."

Being able to feel is the most wonderful thing ever.

I will probably never understand people who can't spend time alone with themselves
How on earth do you expect others to spend time with you, when you can't even spend some with your own self?

Extreme opinions, being too certain about your words/thoughts/actions
It doesn't say any good about you, it tells me that you don't believe that it's important to wonder!

"You can't do today's job with yesterday's methods and be in business tomorrow."

Humans
Some of them actually like to consider themselves inferior and not important and live their life like that, which is why they treat themselves like that throughout
Some literally need life to shake them up and tell them, What For? Breathe maybe?
The innocence in some is made to lose by others

Because life is full of flashes
Flashes of thoughts,
of memories,
of moments that are going by too fast,
of people coming and leaving,
of nature trying to communicate with you,
of stray dogs looking at you with the hope that you may feed them,
of the domestic help at your house looking at you with the expectation that you keep in mind that they are also human beings who could use a smile once in a while,
of your mom humming to old Bollywood songs...

For the gazillionth time,
Humans don't fail to amaze me.
Being that animal who has access to language and the ability to express him/her self through speech, and still has the maximum number of misunderstandings/misconceptions

What the world wants you to do:
- Stay strong and don't speak up about how much it's hurting
- Put on a good face every day and don't share your thoughts with necessarily a person of your choice
- Don't trust your gut because we won't permit you to go ahead with it
- Don't be logical because we won't be
- Your future will not be decided by you, but us
- You will not get to choose what you want to do
- Shut up and listen
- Not numb yet? We're not done with you yet.

"It's not our job to toughen our children up to face a cruel and heartless world. It's our job to raise children who will make the world a little less cruel and heartless."

You must remember to take care of your own self. Always.
The day you think you'll be taken care of, in the manner you can take care of yourself, you're very mistaken.

So often, people can't express what they really want to,
What's worse is, when their silence is taken for no expression

"It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves."

It is an extraordinarily good feeling to know that there is a stranger out there in whose life some of these words could make a difference even for a split second, especially because that was never exactly intended upon :)

Incoherence, equals, me.

Prayers should never be underestimated.

Aaaah,
When you can't find the right words to not just express your thoughts, but even write them down for that matter
Surreal is the word.
When it isn't about figuring out anymore
It's not about your choice either
It's about deciding how to go about it
Life and its unpredictability!
Damn. Who knew who'd have a situation someday, one you wouldn't know how to handle well enough!

"Without pain, how could we know joy? This is an old argument in the field of thinking about suffering and its stupidity and lack of sophistication could be plumbed for centuries but suffice it to say that the existence of broccoli does not, in any way, affect the taste of chocolate."

When something unexpected happens
Like it's more than you could've asked for
But the question is, how come? And why now?
Because you are who you are because of all that life's taught you until now. Is that it?
... If only reality were to make sense all the time!

When you're sure of what you feel
But you're not sure why

At the end of the day,
Your happiness and wishes will be respected by those who have always loved you, and have always been there no matter what.

When a visit to a play school was enlightening!
My first visit, yes.
A board that lays emphasis on "why do we need plants" through imagery
~
It reminded me of the time, when the same friend (with whom I'd gone to this play school, because she had an interview), had come with me for an interview that I had in Mumbai, over three years ago
:)
A concept of short sentences/phrases on staircases for little kids
'I will empathise'
'I will respect'
'I will learn'
~
The board at the entrance that had a lot of these words ~
Integrity, Appreciation, Respect, Tolerance, Empathy
There were more..
I'd asked the receptionist lady if I could take a picture of the board,
She instantly said, no photography allowed
So, I said, this should be shown more often to adults!
She laughed as I did, but she was a sweet lady.
And I just made a note of these then.
~
It was just very pleasant to see the values that are being aimed to inculcate in the kids that go to that school :)

'Education is a process, learning is an ability'

When you try and find the image of a poster that said "Rain and tea are Siamese twins." from the place #Chaayos and you fail, and therefore, my friend must be told that Google doesn't have an answer to everything, but yes, it's another thing that I really wanted to take a picture of that poster at this place, just that it was hidden the whole time because of someone who was working on his laptop, and seemed to take breaks to wonder and freeze with his head moving here and there (no, I did not just cook that up, he actually did keep stopping whilst working)
Blaaaaah!

If an individual can inspire you to be a better person, you must make sure you learn and grasp as much as possible from this individual in the time that you have...

You never judge your parents :)

Vada Pav, Bun Bhujia and Kullad Chai

"She said, 'I'm so afraid.' And I said, 'why?', and she said, 'Because I'm so profoundly happy. Happiness like this is frightening.' I asked her why and she said, 'They only let you be this happy if they're preparing to take something from you'."

When destiny leads you far enough in one direction,
Is it really just trying to test you how you handle it in life,
Or it does intend to give you what you want at the end of it, after all?

One of those days

I wish I could tell you that things get better, but they don't
You just get to know yourself better

If only your brain knew what to tell your heart when it's being absolutely ridiculous about a situation
One that doesn't even exist, but you love to believe that it will

When you're so used to seeing someone ill...
that you don't even realize that the person is actually still going through the same physical and mental pain, and suffering!
Just because you have become accustomed to it, does not give you the right to treat the other, like it's normal and okay. Because no, it's not normal and it's not okay.
People really need to get that!

You are a big fool if you think you wouldn't get hurt just because you've been good to people all throughout your life!

"The capacity to be alone is the capacity to love. It may look paradoxical to you, but it is not. It is an existential truth: only those people who are capable of being alone are capable of love, of sharing, of going into the deepest core of the other person - without possessing the other, without becoming dependent on the other, without reducing the other to a thing, and without becoming addicted to the other." - berlin-artparasites

You know what's worse?
When you can't f**king ignore a situation completely and be all I don't give a damn and I don't care, not just because you're supposed to be better than that at dealing with it all, but because you're expected to, and not only from one person, but a whole bunch
So, when you know it's going to affect a lot more than you can see infront of you
The relationship between two individuals will always remain fragile, unless there's unfailing faith and trust on the other
And no, that isn't just a rarity
The point is that it takes forever to get there
and one shit lie to make it fall.

"I like to eat truly, drink truly, kiss truly, chat with friends truly, fall in love truly; and when you put so much into all of those things, it's natural that you come out full of scars." - Sabina (berlin-artparasites)

When a person who's compromised and sacrificed all his/her life ~ is made to feel like it's an obligation now
I mean, come on
Why are we so screwed up as a species?

An individual will only choose to believe what he/she wants to believe, irrespective of what kind of a relationship a person may share with another, irrespective of how long it took to build it, and also irrespective of what the accused has been wrongly blamed for and has chosen not to explain oneself for the same
#HarshTruth

"Just overheard two kids getting into a heated argument about iOS and Android. At their age, I was arguing about Apsara pencils being better than Natraj."
- Akshar Pathak

So, this world is cruel
And yes, you'll be hurt
One has got to be prepared for consequences irrespective of the number of good deeds done.

Serendipity :)
[might have to pay some royalty for the usage of that word, since it's not my original thought. Haha.]

"It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you don't stop."

And maybe you're not supposed to talk to another human being at all, sometimes
You'd probably kill yourself in the process, but yeah, you're still expected to keep it all inside you and die with it
And please, I'm not talking about an individual's secret here AT ALL
You're not even supposed to share some thoughts with another human
Thoughts that have been piled up inside your system since a while
Because no, there is no guarantee that your trust will not be broken, no matter how faithful you are to the people in your life
When your trust is shaken, it's done
The part that actually sucks about this entire scenario, is that, you will be hurt
and you will get hurt, no matter what.

I had a dream I was dying
But I found nobody there
And if one last night is all that we've been given
Let's live it like we care
#Lyrics

Sucks
When people sitting across the world can get you better than the ones sitting next to you
The human mind never ceases to amaze me
It sucks how a person is made to go through so much of mental trauma because of absolute unnecessary bullshit
And what's worse is, the person causing this damage is unaware of it
Yes, I do remember mentioning this much much earlier in one of my posts
But since humans have a tendency to repeat their shitty acts, I'm just left with no choice but to repeat myself with my words here

When you've realized that you've already met the most selfish, the most immature individual on earth, who does not have the brain to even understand what degree of selfishness has been reached
When such humans are willing to stoop down to a level, that will jeopardize people's relationships

I hate how people overlook the fact that what they want and like is not the same as the person sitting next to them
No, I do not like what you like
My priorities are different
And when your priorities are different, you're willing to compromise on a lot more than you think!

It's so damn important to remember to not let any of it consume you
Not even your passion
Because you can't afford to lose yourself in the process of it all
Since that's the worst thing that can happen to you!

"It's always surprising to me how many young women think they have to be perfect. I rarely meet a young man who doesn't think he already is."

Sometimes, silence from the other person is better
The more you dig up the dirt
The more exposed you'd be
and the probability of you getting hurt might increase

"I'm trying to beef up my skills. There's still too much getting lost between my head and the page. There are a lot of emotions that are very close to each other. I want to be able to show the difference between nervous and tense. Sad and depressed. Thoughtful and wistful."
~ Words taken from another post of Humans of New York! #BecauseICanRelateVeryMuch

You'd always wish that things had turned out differently
Different than what you thought

Why so insensitive?

So,
Old Bollywood songs playing on the radio actually are capable of getting the weariness off somehow :)

The worst part about being strong is that people choose to not ask if you're hurt.

"You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with."
~ Choose wisely!

Just because you know you can afford to take it out on some people, doesn't mean you do it every damn time you have to. There's a threshold of the mind, for that person, hearing you say it all in anger, too.

"You can't win a fight against someone's perception."

We are known for insensitivity, the human species

Words you read here and there, in another country/city, on a bus ride, or wherever else walking, and can only relate to one thing ~
Lawnmower
(A scene from the movie, Easy A
"I borrowed my neighbour's mower. I came right over."
Joey's Pizza
(Duh. Joey. Friends. Enough said.)
New Montgomery
(A Cinderella Story. Mrs. Montogomery. The evil stepmother.)
Coventry Motor Inn
(Duh again. The tiny city I lived in, once upon a time)

So many things that go unnoticed
and because humans don't prefer to think
No one ends up bothering

Casa Sanchez

Maturity
does not
have anything
to do with
Age
or
Time.
It comes with
experience,
exposure,
and willingness to think beyond the obvious.
Bas.

Uncertainty has its consequences
That feeling of not knowing, assuming some parts, leaving some to destiny, and knowing some
Somewhere along that process of reaching the finish line, there are consequences of your choices and decisions made, some that go unnoticed all together, and some that are visible clearly even later

"I can't adult today
Please don't make me adult"
*please picture a lazy pug lying around, while reading those two lines above*

Ides of March
How that always brings back "Et tu Brute" in my head

Some songs will always brink back that one time in your life/one person/one situation/a group of people
No matter what you do, that memory ain't going anywhere

Rape. Rape. Rape.
What's beyond sad is that the world is getting used to hearing about it so often, that one is starting to overlook the seriousness of the damn cause.
"Rapists rape people, not outfits."
"Imagine if men were as disgusted with rape as they are with periods."

Patience
Nope, you just want the other person to have enough
Not yourself

"It can be tough for a woman in the construction industry. I'm in charge of hiring the subcontractors - electricians, carpenters, roofers, plumbers. Those jobs are overwhelmingly male, so a lot of them don't like taking orders from a woman. They'll say 'yes' when I tell them to do something, but then they'll slack off when I'm not watching. So I've got to stay on point. I have to demonstrate that I know enough about all of their jobs to know when something isn't being done correctly."
- Words taken from another post of Humans of New York, because I can relate to this too much!

Your own mind plays games with you.

"To say a person is a happy person or an unhappy person is ridiculous. We are a thousand different kinds of people every hour."

Fresh starts
I don't think they can always do the trick

On some days, the only fairy tales that come true are the ones you see in movies, probably your favourite ones, the kinds you've seen over and over again

You're judging a book by its cover
By just looking at a situation, or noticing someone perform poorly for the first time; by merely predicting how a company is going to perform after having been a part of the company for the shortest while (probably days)
- These don't depict that you have a fairly good grasping power! It shows that you were reckless enough to not want to get into the depth of any of it, and therefore you jumped to a conclusion, once again, and failed yourself in the mind of someone observing you.

"I'm terrible at journaling. But I do it anyway, because I think that maybe one day I'll write something that I didn't know before, and suddenly it will all make sense."
- Words taken from a wonderful post of Humans of New York.

Sometimes, you don't get to choose things in your life
They're choices that have been made for you by someone else
This someone could be someone you know, could also be someone you don't (if at all that is possible), and then it could be an energy too (the faith you have in things that make your subconscious choose for the conscious you, you still staying oblivious to what the f**k happened)
It sucks that you're not fully aware of all the choices that are being made for you, in your life, sometimes.

You're hurt and you only wish to work things your way
But ofcourse that's not possible
Life would just be an easy path to walk on then
We'd forget it's something one aims to come out of, alive

Unexpected things always happen
Because if one could predict every single thing that's going to happen
Then what's the fun in that
Or may I say, what's the point if all the troubles that are going to come your way were already seen and acted upon before needed
(The things beyond control of the ordinary
and subjectivity in the definition of the word 'trouble')

A clip from the movie: 'The Song'
The movie I saw on the flight
(yes, not 'a' flight, 'the' flight, since the journey had taken a U turn)
The disappointment when you can't find a movie online, but I loved this part (the video)!
The music. And then Alan Powell's inspiring words in general, in an interview (taken by Conn Jackson)

It sucks that every individual has to go through so much in one lifetime

Emotions, feelings, humanity
Man, they sure can mess with one's world
And on that note,
"There is a price to be paid for every increase in consciousness. We cannot be more sensitive to pleasure without being more sensitive to pain."

Therapy.
Everyone needs it. Often.
Whether it's Uncle Chips and your favourite chocolate
Or listening to your favourite song on repeat
Or sleep
Or smoke a cigarette
Cry in the bathroom
Scream
Or a punching bag
Or listening to a kind of song, one plays on loud
Or going through old albums/diaries/stuff
Or vent to a human (in all probability your friend who's always been there)

When you listen to songs like
I Should Go by Levi Kreis
after really, really long...

When you can't be yourself with the people in your life, and cry or smile whenever you feel like, what the f**k is the point?

When a domestic servant at your house suddenly starts crying and pours her heart out to you
You feel a weight, but at the same time, there is a tiny amount of positivity, that you're there to make her say it all out so she could feel better
But you also feel helpless to an extent, although you did discuss the matter further, and would aim to help as much as possible

When something unusual happens
and you're unable to handle it
You're not sure how
but you're not able to breathe
You're getting choked, but oddly, you're keeping at it out of choice

When in a conversation with a friend,
and he wondered as to why he wasted all this time planning a room design and putting so much into it, when he could've easily hired a professional to do the same,
I figured, sometimes, you have to derive sense out of it
The very fact that he did put all that effort, and the room is done now, every time he'd look at a painting or a pattern, he'd be reminded of how he did it all by himself, and at that moment of realization, if he gets happiness by being able to relate to so much of it in that room, it's been worth it...

When someone reassures you more than the times you needed it

And,

"I feel very strongly that I'm surrounded by other realities. We don't really go that far into people, even when we think we do. We hardly ever go in and bring them out. We just stand at the jaws of the cave, and strike a match, and ask quickly if anybody's there."

"Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren't always comfortable, but they're never a weakness."

"And in all those cruel, difficult moments I encountered, I always wished I would be a little kid again. Not because everything was easier when you were a child; not because you weren't responsible for anything including yourself; not even because life was much more simple, but simply because you had all the rights to scream, to shout, to cry your heart out whenever you felt like it without having anyone blaming you for not being strong:

You can wail the moment you feel that you miss or need anyone. You can scream when you're afraid. You can cry when you're left alone. You have all the rights to weep when it's your first day at school and you're alone and terrified from this sudden change that took place in your life.

If you're a kid, you won't have to fake a smile when your insides are burning just to seem strong and fine! Back then, you had all these rights - until they started telling you that you're a 'grown-up' now and you shouldn't be crying; that you should be strong and responsible; that you might be dying from inside but still you must manage to smile.

I just don't mind losing that 'grown-up' title if that's all I have to lose in order to regain my childhood life and my childhood rights again. I just wish it were possible. Because having to act as a grown up is very painful sometimes."

The universe loves to play funny

Sometimes, you've got to forgive in order to be forgiven.
#TheJudge

So,
The saddest part is when you have no choice but to not be yourself
That is the worst thing that could happen to someone, in my opinion
If the people you've known all your life, have become someone else
and they make you wanna not be yourself
Now that is when you want to escape

Listening to a track like, Who Needs You by The Orwells, on loud
and writing here at the same time

"Who are you to judge the life I live?
I know I'm not perfect
and I don't live to be
but before you start pointing fingers...
make sure your hands are clean!"

Yes, because these days, all people really want to do is point their freaking fingers
It sucks really
(the word, freaking, has been replaced by an abusive word I typed here originally)

So what matters is how PEOPLE may react or what they may feel..
instead of actually being concerned with how the one person being hurt actually feels
All I have is a slow applause for such humans with the broadest mindset ever
(that was sarcasm font, yes)

It's happened a lot with me, that when I've formed an average image about a situation in my head, and then it turned out to be above average.. It left me less disappointed.
It happens with everyone that you form a picture in your head of how it's all supposed to be, and when it doesn't turn out that way, that's what disappoints us, always. But I think it's another thing to be relatively less disappointed and that's important sometimes.

Why can't people just let others be?
Why are they under the impression that they have the freaking authority to control another person's life?
No, you don't have that kinda right. Stop making the other person feel claustrophobic with just your thoughts about how and which way the situation that he/she is handling, the situation that he/she is in.

Why are people imposing their choices on one another?
Everyone is different, and that has to be understood and respected!

The time when all you want to do is escape from that crowd and withdraw into your own shell.

Stephen Hawking.
He is the definition of the word inspiration.
That extraordinary human who one could learn endless things from.

The very fact that people around have become complacent with the idea that they know enough..
With the idea that what is chosen is right..
There is a big difference between knowing and accepting
Knowing there was more than one side to a situation
...and possibilities.

It sucks that one doesn't want to reason out these days
They're just absolutely okay with their freaking minds shut and accepting what is told to them

The recent electricity ad with kids in it:
Bijli Bachao, Desh Banao
Absolutely love it!

Which of these candies was your favourite from your Childhood?
[Credits to NDTV Goodtimes for the above image and the question]

Natkhat and Crax.
I was absolutely shocked and didn't quite know what to say when a person born in the late, late 80s didn't know what they were
I mean, I honestly felt sorry.
But yes, apart from the above candies, these two were epic munchies! Love them still :)

PK
The movie
The different angle
So many things to perceive
Bollywood has a huge influence on the general masses, which is why it's very important for conceptual movies like these.

It is a hypothesis that things are going to be different in the coming time, which means that either they will be or they won't be.

The moments when you listen to your mother share some stories from her time
I consider myself fortunate enough to be able to be that ear who gets to hear all of it from her
The times when she woke up at the early, early hours of the morning
To do all the things that were expected out of her, at the time
..just so inspiring at so many levels
Then again, there could never be a human like a mother. One person who draws unbelievable strength from I wonder where.

When you feed the dogs outside your house
The happiness is incomparable.

When it's just beyond my comprehension
When it has to become difficult for you to explain

That awkward moment when you have that weird internal head ache (nope, not the normal one), and you can't sleep, and instead you choose to distract yourself by doing some word vomit.

"You don't need to prove anything to get a library card."
One of those rare sentences you could only find on a post of Humans of New York (by Brandon)!

When the people you thought knew you, don't know shit.
It's disturbing really.
When you see how narrow minded people can be.
I'm like wow. Which century are you living in?

So many thoughts piled up that I'm not sure I'd be able to present all the sides of the human mind I've witnessed lately, which can work from the most mysterious to the shittiest ways.

When you're hurt
So hurt, that for once, nothing helped.

Sometimes, you like your room messy (mostly in Winters)
and that's perfectly okay
but you also want it to be the exact way you left it when you get back to it
See now, that is a problem, when you're at home, and your mom has an obsession to keep things cleeeean and in proper order. Whoops!

Old hindi music on the radio :D

Winters make me wanna do only one thing: Not move.

When you hear Atif Aslam's voice on a TV show after really long..
and you remember the goodness and power in the words, sung by him
and how the person next to you still hums to the tune of that one song, even today, with a slight smile
That feeling, is incomparable.

The improvement in Indian trains!

In one's weak/low moments, one wants to take a step back
and ask, why did you have to do that to me? Why me?
One wants to say it aloud..
In a discussion over Skype with a friend, something interesting was discovered.
People who've had their hearts broken
Never wanted to become people who would be scared of opening themselves infront of others
Never wanted to become people who would be scared to love
Never wanted to become people who wouldn't let their guard down easily...
But they became this weird version of themselves anyway, even when that's never who they wanted to be in the first place.

When one is told about something wrong one did, or a negative about oneself, without sufficient encouragement alongside. Nope, you don't know shit about how much that would work.

When you wake up at whatever hour on a Sunday,
the thought that it's a Sunday, is just different
I have no idea why
But even when you're already the laziest person you know, you want to be even more lazy, just because it's a Sunday!

So, when there are things that have been on your mind all day and you still can't find a way to say it in words
Sometimes when you're with a friend at a new place, and just the right song plays, you're not sure what to think
Whether you're meant to feel like everything that you'd missed out on with this friend, will be caught up on since it had only been paused until now, or was it just meant to feel different
(I cannot recollect this or frame it better, since it had been saved in a draft post for far too long)

A city like Delhi, I'm not sure if I'm ever going to manage to develop a positive sentiment towards it.

"We will never be happy because our expectation of happiness is always evolving. And as we evolve, everything changes. Even the love we have now becomes something of yesterday and the anticipation of the things we desire tomorrow, are the things that fill our emptiness today.
And as we evolve, nothing stays the same. We will always want more, even if what we have now is enough. This is the destruction of being human. We create the illusion of happiness to make sense of the disappointments we have yet to live.
And sometimes we do find happiness. But even though, sometimes it is not meant to last forever and that within itself is a beautiful thing to evolve from."
- R.M.Drake

An advice;
Learn to look at yourself before pointing a finger at somebody else!
Irrespective of whether that person is older or younger to you, look at yourself first!

"It's not the obligation of the artist to censor viewpoints for the sake of agreeability and most of all, it's not your obligation to experience the artist's art."
"I can tell a lot about a person by what they choose to see in me."

"If you could love the wrong person that much, imagine how much you could love the right one."
"It is a hypothesis that the sun will rise tomorrow, and this means that we do not know whether it will rise."

"If money didn't exist, would you still chase your dreams?"

"Aap khwaab dekh ti hain?
Lekin, khwaab dukh dete hain...
