Phases

"If your eyes could speak, what would they say?"
#TheBookThief

Why is there always a catch?
Why can't it be simple?
Simple enough for you to not look beyond the obvious reasons
The hidden answers that exist which make reality what it really is

When you had the best intentions
But it didn't work out anyway
When you just thought that everything is in place and it'll be fine
But it wasn't eventually
So you tell yourself once again that things are supposed to get better and so they will

When you've managed to restore the faith that it's all supposed to be for the best
And then when your faith is shaken, oh no, it becomes harder to join the pieces
As some fell too far away for you to find, identify and fix

Fear
Anger
Denial
Acceptance
The phases that one goes through
No one ends up feeling completely safe by the end of it
How one's innocence is poisoned and cultured with ridiculous expectation

To be able to work on something that's been a part of who you are, in order to make it better, you need to identify what it is first
The willingness to do something about it comes after that.
And obviously if one ends up staying oblivious to it for the rest of one's life
It would just be like noticing the trees from the window, and never being able to look at the glass

When you do something for someone who means something to you
You did it because you knew it was the right thing to do
It's not in that person's knowledge and he/she can never dig that deep to figure it all out by him/her self
And you wait for the right time to let the person know that you did it because you knew it would make him/her happy, and without your absence in that person's life, it wouldn't have been possible

The things one does, by hurting someone, but for their good, keeping the long term perspective in mind

Keeping a cigarette in your mouth and never lighting it
~ The metaphor that makes one think as to how you've put something in your mouth that can kill you, but you haven't given it the power to kill you
I wonder how many situations that can be applied to in life
#FaultInOurStars

It sucks that people don't make a conscious effort to look beyond the obvious

It's only hilarious when a person has not only taken you for granted but has crossed all limits
You become that person who gets to hear all the shit because you've been there taking it all in, up till now
Like seriously
The mistakes we commit for the gazillionth time
When people don't realize the promises they made

The irony that exists in life and how the universe plays funny

"Sometimes people don't understand the promises they're making when they make them."

When you've cut yourself off before
It's easier the next time you do it
Of course, the simple logic ~ it hurts less when you've become used to cutting off from the world, in one respect or another
Because the first time you did it, only you know what kinda courage it may have taken
Especially when you kinda thought you're not the kind of a person who could survive with a smile, post that
But it became so much better with time, that sometimes, it seems like the best thing to do
Not just to clear your head or whatever, but sure as hell, for reasons you know you'd manage to recollect

The Book Thief
Winter's Tale
Fault In Our Stars

"A world full of only easy choices would enslave us to reasons."

When your efforts won't mean anything and you know it
because the imaginary wall between you and another individual is colossal and it would take a lot more than just breaking it down somehow

"When all else fails, call Dad."

People will always judge you. Don't let their judgments get in the way of your perspective.
They'll be judging anyway.

It may be wrong to say that your education doesn't define you. But it sure as hell is not the only thing that defines you.

It's not about what you do, it's about who you are.

"I've come to the conclusion that if having things turn out the way you wanted them to is a measure of a successful life, then some would say I'm a failure. The important thing is to not be bitter over life's disappointments. Learn to let go of the past. And recognize that every day won't be sunny, and when you find yourself lost in the darkness and despair, remember it's only in the black of night you see the stars. And those stars will lead you back home. So don't be afraid to make mistakes, to stumble and fall, cause most of the time, the greatest rewards come from doing the things that scare you the most. Maybe you'll get everything you wish for. Maybe you'll get more than you ever could have imagined. Who knows where life will take you. The road is long and in the end, the journey is the destination."
