Another time

When things happen and you find out the reasons fast,
it just becomes easier to acknowledge and take it all and go on with it
When you find out the reasons later, it's only harder

Wind + solitary walks + your favourite songs = :)

But I can't wait for the next chapter of my life to begin. It's like when you know you'll miss what you have with you right now, but you want to turn the page of the book nevertheless. But then again, who says you can?
It's another thing to talk metaphorically and make a comparison to the pages of a book, but at the end, it's life.

When it's not your place to say,
this is what one could, "I'm happy, you're happy"
*an emoticon that's close to a smile*

I always find my heart full of a certain satisfying emotion when I see the kid on the road eating a chocolate given by me, when he/she came and asked for money.
And because I know how rarely that happens, it's an all the more reminder in the face, that says,
'Is se tumhare mann ki gareebi zaroor kam ho jayegi, lekin desh ki nahi'

#TheBoyWhoTurnedAroundAndLookedAtMeWhenHeOpenedTheChocolate
One time, when I was travelling in the local train and it moved slower than it could!
A boy who wore nothing on his torso, and came cleaning the train, asking for anything to the passengers. And when I searched my bag for a five rupee dairy milk given to me by a friend earlier in the day, and instead I found a ten rupee kit kat bought by me only.
He went a little ahead and opened it with his mouth and looked at me. And I just felt happy.
He went to a corner and ate it up then. And the next minute, he was back to asking for anything, ahead.

Love's To Blame - Joel & Luke

Love Song - Sara Bareilles

"Whatever happened to chivalry? Does it only exist in 80's movies? I want John Cusack holding a boombox outside my window. I wanna ride off on a lawnmower with Patrick Dempsey. I want Jake from Sixteen Candles waiting outside the church for me. I want Judd Nelson thrusting his fist into the air because he knows he got me. Just once I want my life to be like an 80's movie, preferably one with a really awesome musical number for no apparent reason. But no, no, John Hughes did not direct my life."

"Just because they disagree, doesn't mean you ain't right."

I don't understand how people around behave like all's good in the world sometimes.
Like alright, I get it. Positivity n all. But there's a difference between just being indifferent towards things around you and actually being in a situation when you can't do anything about it.

"Nothing goes as planned.
Everything will break.
People say goodbye.
In their own special way.
All that you rely on
And all that you can fake
Will leave you in the morning
But find you in the day.."

Doodle or not?

The times when you don't know what you're doing, but you do it anyway.
And, you don't know why, but you do it still.
And I don't have an answer.

Astronomia (Electro Edit) - Tony Igy
Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall - Coldplay

Midnight snacks don't always have a positive effect on the stomach the next morning :|

Randomness.

Excitement because of good music.

Sick of subjects like Accounts.

When you care so much and you'd do anything, and I mean it, anything, to make another human happy ~
Partially, it does feel like your objective of existing is found in the form of another person's happiness, but partially, it feels like it's all in vain and it really, really doesn't matter because it is not necessary that this person understands/wants to understand how much you actually care and how far you could go to prove that.

The feel of Listerine in your mouth at night :D

When phones act weird and love to hang.

The feeling of meeting an old school friend out of the blue at an unexpected place and time, and the good feeling sinking in after a while, even though this person might have never been a good friend as such, but an old school friend nevertheless :)

I never thought I'd like trance music but surprisingly, I do. Atleast the one I mentioned above :)

The quote by John Lennon I love,
"When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down 'happy'. They told me I didn't understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life."

Oh and,
Letting go isn't a one time thing. It is something you do everyday, over and over again.
~ Really?

Just because.

Winters & Mumbai :)

A Drop In The Ocean - Ron Pope
Give Me Strength - Snow Patrol
Holding On And Letting Go - Ross Copperman
Drive By - Train
Before The Worst - The Script

"I'm unusually hard to hold on to
Blank stares at blank pages
No easy way to say this
You mean well, but you make this hard on me
I'm not gonna write you a love song
'cause you asked for it..."

The difference in the feeling and interpretation of music and its lyrics, when you hear it out loud in a car and when you listen to the same song through your earphones.

When people/strangers have uncanny resemblance with someone you know.

The good feeling and the bad feeling
And then there's the random instinct feeling and it comes true for someone else but not for yourself.

I can't begin to imagine leaving Mumbai. Just can't :(

The importance of earphones, in general!

"It's everything you wanted, it's everything you don't
It's one door swinging open and one door swinging closed
Some prayers find an answer
Some prayers never know
We're holding on and letting go"

The times when a Sunday morning begins with a low feeling overall
When you don't like the fact that one's words could get your tears out that fast!
When your running nose causes an almost headache and apart from the fact that you're gonna be on your bed the whole day eating and not doing anything substantial as such, it doesn't feel like a Sunday with that sinking feeling
The times when you don't wanna exist. And just not be alive. Temporarily.
And when the world wants to talk to you when you're in no mood to and is busy when you want to.

One for now,
"The thing about addiction is, it never ends well. Because eventually, whatever it was that was getting us high, stops feeling good, and starts to hurt. Still, they say you don't kick the habit until you've hit rock bottom.
But how do you know when you're there? Because no matter how badly a thing is hurting us...
...sometimes letting it go hurts even more."

The concept of marriage - still trying to comprehend that bit.

Things seem changed when one's way of looking at it changes! It doesn't always mean that they have.

The movie, Made of Honour, always makes me happy :)

Sometimes

Sometimes, what you want to do is exactly what you need.
Sometimes, you don't have a reason for the question put up to you. You just don't. I have no idea why.
Sometimes, it's good to just pour it all out in words to someone who you know wouldn't remember it the next day. Even if it is something you generally don't do.
Sometimes, it's good to cry. When you have the tiniest thing becoming the biggest thing in your head and it makes you wanna take it out through tears, then trying to get all the bad times together in one corner of the head and all the times that could possibly get the tears to come out is what one could do. If that's what's gonna make the heaviness of it all go away. Or if not completely, then atleast the bigger part of it.
Sometimes, you want to listen to music at a volume so loud that you wouldn't mind screaming through it.
And sometimes, the lyrics are all that matter.

Crankiness. Irritation. For no reason at all. No reason.
The feeling of not being able to take anything at all any longer. Any human being around you.
Space and time is what one needs? Is that the answer?

The soothing tune of a song or the soothing words coming out of a person's mouth, irrespective of this person being an important person in your life or not, is what makes it all go away, but all very slowly.
Sometimes, not knowing is what comforts you more. And also, that's what's better.
Sometimes, I wonder what I'd do if the concept of music didn't exist.
Sometimes, you don't know how to go about it all. Go about answering questions to which you don't have the answers yourself, and you probably never will, but you still expect people to understand because people are what matter.
Sometimes, chocolate does it all and sometimes everything you try doesn't make much difference.

Life is a ride maybe. At the end of it, what matters to you now is probably gonna be something that wouldn't make a difference even remotely in the coming future, because then again, you never really know.
An optimistic approach is important. And not to show the world that you're optimistic towards almost everything in life. But the positivity from inside. Something that gets you to believe that you'll survive and that's why you do.

There are things you explain. And things you don't. And things you shouldn't. And then there are those you don't/shouldn't have to.
And then there are decisions you get to make and you don't. Or maybe it was your choice to begin with. But the options that become available to you are what leave you puzzled.

Sailing through it all is what's important. The journey.

"At the end of the day faith is a funny thing. It turns up when you don't really expect it. Its like one day you realize that the fairy tale may be slightly different than you dreamed. The castle, well, it may not be a castle. And it's not so important happy ever after, just that its happy right now."
"I believe that believing we survive is what makes us survive."
"I've heard it's possible to grow up - I've just never met anyone who's actually done it..."

A corner of my mind : part 4

And when people form judgments, and the feeling of 'whatever' comes in your head.
They want to judge, I let them. I don't want to stand in their way. If it makes a difference to me, I'll do something to change their opinion, if not, live with it.

I had been looking for a song called, 'Torch Song' by Shady Bard since a while now, but never really found the right link to download it for some reason, considering it's not a new song! And today, when I remembered that I haven't found it still, I happened to search for it randomly and ...
I found it :D
It's like when you expect the least because you're so sick of trying, and then you get it, the feeling is different all together. Even if what I'm talking about here, is a song! But, :)

"What a time to pick a fight
The world is full of those tonight
I looked at you
You stole my life
but here it is the simple task

Save me..."

When you're told stuff you never expected, from persons you never expected it from, or you found what you'd probably been looking for since some time now... That's the feeling I'm talking about.
:)

And,
A landlady and a maid who can't stop whining!
Ufff! Matlab, bas karo yaar! And I thought I could never reach a point of being able to let go of things, but my God, there are times like these when I realize, that there are so many people out there who take longer than I did!

People should never ever gift me chocolate!
I mean, one, you will end up eating it all by yourself because it was a gift and when you know, you stay with someone who's not very fond of chocolate as such.
And, two, it makes you fat to the extent that even if you don't mind it, someone else whose words you'd mind will come up to you and say, hello! You should mind it!
Haha.

And when I think of how well words can be put across someone, the quote that comes to my mind is,
"No amount of time with you will ever be enough but,
we'll start with forever."

And a random one that I read sometime back,
"It's like you're screaming but no one can hear. You almost feel ashamed that someone could be that important, that without them, you feel like nothing. No one will ever understand how much it hurts. You feel hopeless, like nothing can save you. And when it's over and it's gone, you almost wish that you could have all that bad stuff back so you can have the good."

Love.. Know if you're stepping or falling in it!

Birds chirping in the afternoon in the typical morning tone and I'm not kidding?
Or is that nothing unusual?

Only four more months in Mumbai :(

New people/friends towards the ending of a chapter of life. But it's always nice to meet opinionated people :)

Music videos that change your opinion on the lyrics of a song?

And just when you start to believe that you have a much clearer picture of how life's gonna go and you start to look forward to what's ahead, somebody has to mess with your head! And, literally, a somebody. And, my brain goes like, why? And who gave you the right to approach someone who matters to me and mess with his/her head in the first place?

Loud music comes to my rescue when I'm frustrated. And maybe, Word Mole? I figured the word mole game bit today though!

And, some quotes that I came across randomly,

"At the end of the day, when it comes down to it, all we really want is to be close to somebody. So this thing where we all keep our distance and pretend not to care about each other, it's usually a load of bull. So we pick and choose who we want to remain close to, and once we've chosen those people, we tend to stick close by. No matter how much we hurt them. The people that are still with you at the end of the day, those are the ones worth keeping. And sure, sometimes close can be too close. But sometimes, that invasion of personal space, it can be exactly what you need."

Question to self : What would make a person stick around even though he/she is greatly hurt?

"The point is we can't help who we fall in love with"

"Even now, I believe that for the most part, love is about choices. It's about putting down the poison and the dagger and making your own happy ending...most of the time. And sometimes, despite all your best intentions, fate wins anyway."

"You know as well as I do it's not about what you look like, or your job, or how successful you are. It's about having people in your life that you love and who love you...that's all that matters."

"And the things I remember best - those are the things I wasn't supposed to do and I did them anyway. The thing is, life is too damn short to be following these rules."
~ Grey's Anatomy

Words poured

When first impressions are so pathetic.
I'm not talking about the saying, "First impressions are not always the best." But one that clears the fact that I don't even want to look at this person with another perspective or probably hear his/her side of the story. That's not me, but I didn't know there could be people who could convince me about not wanting to get to know them further at all, to this extent.

Chocolate and Music. How does one manage to blend things together to that extent and come up with something that soothes the human mind on another level?
Yes, the ingredients are simple but it's the quantity and an individual's recipe of it all that matters, ofcourse.

And sometimes, you care, maybe the least, but you do.
And you have no idea why.

And I hate packing. But I hate unpacking more. I have to pack still! The feeling of going home is simply :)

Pictures are very important to take. One can interpret that as a photograph or a painting, as I have come across people who like to make it all by themselves instead of capturing the moment by just a click :)
Not all of us choose the easiest way to create a memory that way. Because perhaps there aren't many ways to create memories after all or maybe there are too many on the contrary. But they are an essential record of a flashback of what life would look like in a tangible form. And, therefore, they are very important to be created :)

When people you barely know and don't give a crap about, somehow manage to ruin your mood - Eh?
How exactly does that happen?

I also feel, that the feeling of watching a tv show on television is very different from watching the exact same tv show on your laptop. It's like, when you know it's on your laptop, you know you can pause it, change it and not watch that particular episode, go back to the gas stove as and when you want to check if what you're making is ready and then get back to it, see the part you love over and over again, not see the part you don't like or for that matter, stop it all.
It's like it doesn't feel all that real anymore. It's like reading the pages of a book on an electronic notebook and not flipping every page of a real one which gives the feel of reading. The feeling of bookmarking a page with the bookmark you picked up from a shop and smelling the book maybe? Even though I don't read books, I guess that's what it'd feel like.
It's like being able to control life all together to the extent that you can stop it, pause it, not know it, re-live the parts you like again, and maybe not do anything about it at all at some point too.
And when you know you're watching it on television, you know there's gonna be a break and that you can probably only get back to your gas stove in that limited defined time, you can't fast forward and, you cannot go back so you might as well listen to the dialogues carefully knowing they won't be repeated.
It's a different thing when you know you have the internet and everything is available to you if you want to get back to something you missed out on when it comes to things like these.
But, you can't go back and know more or for that matter, change things done in life, in the moment. It maybe something you said, something you should have said and you didn't.

And when does the grass not seem greener on the other side? Seriously.
